Leveraging Innovation by Tapping Society’s Knowledge-base

As the businesses move towards complex and globally integrated scenario, active innovation is becoming vital for the survival of organizations. Knowledge-base in society in the form of discussion groups, communities of practices, think tanks and universities can be used as a valuable resource for generating new ideas or innovative views on complex problems. The paper views the problem from action research perspectives and presents a conceptual model for leveraging innovation by developing linkages between academics, practitioners and decision makers, with the help of a suggestion system in cyber space.
